Blackthorn

It's simply a wonderful western. Without a doubt Mateo Gil as director, and Sam Shepard and Eduardo Noriega as the two protagonists of the film, outdid themselves. The script by Miguel Barros is great, the photography with the incredible and beautiful Bolivian places is amazing, and the music is also quite good. Sometimes the story loses the rhythm -especially at the final part-, but anyway it's really interesting to see an old Butch Cassidy living again, after the old film of 1969 by Paul Newman and Robet Redford. You can taste in this movie the aroma of the old classic westerns. I love to see this kind of projects made by the Spanish filmmakers.

My score: 8 (out of 10)
