A movie to pay homage to Paris, with a great photography, and full of winks to the (theoretically) old better times, to the nostalgia for the past, for the old writers, musicians, painters, poets, and to the looking for love.
It’s good to see that Woody Allen has gotten back in lane to make better movies. For example this time he avoids using a narrator. You can see in this comedy things that reminds “The Purple Rose of Cairo” and some other details of the old movies of Allen. Owen Wilson and Marion Cotillard make a very good work. The film is full of interesting cameos... Amazing the accent of Adrien Brody in his short appearance (I can’t say what role he plays to avoid spoiling the movie). So it’s a very recommendable film.
My score: 8 (out of 10)
