Gomorrah (Gomorra)

A really good Italian film about the Neapolitan mafia. Sometimes is so real, hard and drama that it seems a documentary. The cast make very well their work. I recommend this movie without a doubt!

Die Welle (The Wave)

Excellent! A fantastic German movie that shows how the individualism and the lack of ideals can be used by somebody to manipulate the mind, the ideas and the facts of the people, and especially the young people in this case. The film is a good way to show that today it could be again very possible the autocratic government of a bloody and horrible dictatorship in our countries, like the communism or the fascism. I really enjoyed the movie as much as the great "Das experiment" (an other rather similar movie from Germany of 2001) and of course almost as much as the brilliant "American History X" (1998). Very recommendable.

Burn After Reading

Yeah... the Coen's came back to their typical movies that I love so much :) This is a very funny and sometimes surrealistic film. The rhythm is good and some of the moments are really brilliant. All the cast of people are fantastic, especially Malkovich and McDormand, but everyone are great. A very commendable movie ;)

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Simply great. It's the accurate adaptation of the book. It has a good atmosphere, and even having into account that it shows some things that everybody already saw before in some other movies about the holocaust, the story is fantastic. The best part is the confrontation of the innocence faced the barbarism and the barbarism faced the innocence... and the hard and emotional blow of the reason faced the fanaticism. I really liked it. A very recommendable film.

Cidade de Deus (City of God)

Simply BRILLIANT. In my opinion, the best Brazilian movie for years... A good story and very well made in 2002. It's amazing how it shows the way of life, the value of the life... all... It is fantastic.

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

I love Woody Allen, but I was disappointed with Cassandra's Dream, so I'm positively surprised with this new movie. A fun comedy. The conversations are fresh and some of the "improvisations" of Bardem and Penelope (and specially the Spanish swearwords) are quite realistic, even in the complicated relationship of the participants! This is a cool movie.

Great 3D animation. Great images. Great script almost without verbal conversations. Great movie.
